Arch Linux is a lightweight Linux system. Learning Arch Linux will give you a better understanding of Linux. Let's share the introduction guide for Arch Linux. It is mainly the author's personal experience. It is not good, please advise.

Linux learning my way

Linux talked my way of learning, time is not long, about 2014 of May began to understand the system, and because It's a third year, and I can't spend too much time learning Linux on this system, but my experience has made me spend a relatively small amount of time, and I can already achieve the degree of Linux as my desktop system.

The reason for everything is that my computer only has 512 Mb of memory, which makes my xp user, and finally even the last QQ, can be stuck. This has endured for a long time, finally I am looking for a solution. The way. Perhaps because of my thoughts, the solution is not to upgrade the hardware for the computer, but to find a system to replace xp. At this time, Linux has entered my eye. Everywhere, Linux is said to be light and simple, and only a few tens of megabytes. The memory can run smoothly. Of course, this time I searched for it is definitely the most friendly Ubuntu for the novice. Finally, I installed it with excitement. I was very happy at the time. I felt that I could finally play the system and get rid of the past card. Machine. But the fact is that I am naive. Ubuntu's Unity desktop, my old antique machine can't be eaten, and it's more fun to play. Even after installing XUbuntu, it doesn't help. When I encounter problems, I can search for answers, but the answer is It is basically ineffective. In the face of this situation, I did not learn anything when I played Ubuntu.

The Ubuntu experience made me a bit frustrated, and it was not suitable for my machine. Later I learned about Debian, and this release is said to be stable and robust. I installed it with hesitation this time. The installation process is not as smooth as Ubuntu. I remember that I should have encountered some problems, but I still solved it. I am very satisfied with this Debian installation. My computer is like a resurrection, and it will never be stuck. But what can I do with Debian? I later found out that I didn't do anything. I don't know anything. I just use the mouse to right click, right click on the properties and double click on the executable file. It’s been a week or two (I only had a weekend to come back from school to a computer), and one day I saw a distribution in the Linux China group called Arch, out of curiosity. Going to search for it, this is the beginning of my encounter with Arch.

Arch Linux is designed to be lightweight and compact. This is in line with my mind, and I started my Arch journey without saying anything. At that time, I didn't know what the command line was. The installation process was completely based on the process of the Arch Wiki. Although I didn't understand why, I was installed successfully. I looked at the system that I installed step by step and installed the system. The Arch Wiki provides a one-stop service. The Arch that just installed the system does not have a desktop, but the Arch Wiki provides a detailed desktop configuration process and an input method configuration process. Check my memory usage, LXDE + 32-bit Arch Linux, my memory usage is only about 70 M, I know that I found true love this time, so I have been using Arch so far, and thanks to my computer configuration is low, otherwise I am very Maybe staying at Ubuntu.
