The implementation principle of Linux system TSO

The so-called TSO is the TCP Segment Offload. The principle of TSO is not too difficult to say. It is to use the network card to implement TCP segmentation, so as to shorten the CPU cycle. This article will introduce the implementation principle of TSO in Linux system.

The principle of TSO is almost everyone knows, in fact, it is not difficult to achieve this problem, the difficulty is the details. After finishing the business, I want to show this principle. Of course, it may have a big difference with the actual implementation. In any case, it is a principle block diagram. If you look closely, you should be able to achieve a better one than me. TSO is gone.

This design is a category of digital logic, sequential circuits, and this field is very tall, not ordinary software programmers can hold, the same as a half bottle like me. So I still follow the old picture and try to give a result directly, instead of asking the person who listens to the book to make some preparations in advance, often when people do these preparations, they are tired of giving up.

Basic knowledge is not difficult, that is, some gate circuits, AND gates, NOT gates, comparators, decoders, triggers, etc., these things just look for a computer composition principle, are very complete. The key is how to combine them, which is programming in another area. At this point, I remembered a sentence that my high school physics old wet Liu Danqing said when I spoke the circuit 15 years ago: Let the current flow. This sentence is completely inconsistent with the basic principles of circuit design. They may be more inclined to model first, then analyze, then write the code using the description language VHDL, and finally give the circuit, I think this is suitable for design. It is itself, but it is not suitable for telling a wonderful story to a layman. For a layman, the only thing he knows is to let the current flow, then rush through the door and rush through the tube. Well, the high level becomes low. . . Previous123Next page Total 3 pages
