How to partition Linux VPS system disk?

  

After installing Linux system with vps, I found that there are not enough available partitions. This is mainly caused by the lack of configuration after vps installation. The following small series will introduce you how to partition Linux vps system disk. Friends can come and learn.

After purchasing the monthly payment VPS, install the centos system under linux, after installing the web server environment, I found that only 10G partitions are available (df-h), and later I know some host providers under VPS. Linux default installation only 10G less than the partition is available, the rest of the partition needs to handle their own.

First use fdisk -l command to view the system partition contents:

find /dev /sdb is simply not partition ah, the next will be /dev /sdb partition . On

FIG is to /dev /sdb partitioned into dev /sdb1 format and the partition into LVM (8e).

Executing vgs to view the volume group, you can see that there is only one volume group

Executing vgs to view the volume group, you can see that only one volume group (VG) is named: vg_cloud
