What should I do if Xmanager fails to connect after the Solaris system is installed?

After installing the Solaris system, many users can't log in to Xmanager, and they can't connect to Solaris. If you also encounter problems with Xmanager connection, you may wish to understand Let's go.

Environment:

OS: Solaris 10

After installing Solaris, by default, you can use Xmanager landing, but here I have not connected, Did not report an error, and finally made the following configuration, and finally connected.

1.OS kernel version

#uname -a

SunOS hxl 5.10 Generic_118844-26 i86pc i386 i86pc

2. Turn off the default cde service< Br>

#svcadm disable cde-login

Using ps-ef| Grep dtlogin should not see the dtlogin process

3. Enter /etc/X11/gdm

Edit the gdm.conf file to edit the following 2 places

Find [xdmcp] Field.

Change Enable=flase to true

Cancel the comment before Port=177

and save and exit.

4.ps -ef| Grep gdm confirms that there is currently no gdm process, and if so, close it.

5.Start gdm service

# svcs -a| Grep gdm

maintenance 11:59:23 svc:/application/gdm2-login:default

# svcadm enable svc:/application/gdm2-login:default

The simple setting above, after installing the Solaris system, there will be no problem that Xmanager can't connect. If there is still a problem with Xmanager connection, try to find the reason.
