Vmware Tools is a small tool that many Linux users will use. However, compared to the installation steps in Linux system, the Vmware Tools

installation steps:

1, first with custon way, other Linux versions installed Red Flag Linux Desktop6.0.2, VMware points above menu file, select install vmware Tools.

3, according to the system prompts, open the virtual CD, copy VMwareTools-6.0.1-55017.i386.rpm to a directory of the system.

4, right click on VMwareTools-6.0.1-55017.i386.rpm select “ open with Rpminstall ”. Or double click it.

5. On the installation interface that opens, click Install.

6. Click on the “Start-” Settings->Control Panel” menu. In the Control Panel, find and open “System Configuration - Service”.

7. Find the "Vmware Tools" service and modify it to run automatically and start it. The system will prompt for a reboot.

8. After restarting, open the terminal program, enter vmware-config-tools.pl and press Enter.

9, the next step is to answer the question, press the prompt, if you want to enter the carriage return, if yes, enter Yes.

10, restart the system. OK!

The tool is now installed. But you will be very depressed and find that your mouse is not working properly. This is easy to handle, just follow the steps below.

Editing a Configuration File

1. Open the file as a root user with a text editor: /etc/X11/xorg.conf. What text editor you use will look like you like it.
