After tracing, it is found that the integrated network card of the motherboard cannot be recognized by the system. The motherboard for this computer is the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P, and the integrated network card is the Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller. I used to install too many computers before, and this problem occurred for the first time, but fortunately, after hard work, there is a solution.

Solution

First download the driver for AR81Family-linux-v1.0.1.14.tar.gz NIC

The specific download directory is /2012 data/November /29/CentOS 5.5 does not recognize the Atheros AR8151 NIC problem solution

After downloading, unzip it into the /usr/local/src/nicdriver directory, and then execute the following command:

1. cd /usr/local/src/nicdriver

2. make

3. make install

4. cd /lib/modules/2.6.18-194. el5PAE/kernel/drivers/net/atl1e (The reason why you want to switch directory to here is because of the above operation, an atl1e.ko file will be generated under this directory, this file is exactly what we need)

5. insmod atl1e.ko (in the operation of this step, will display "lds; insmod: error inserting & lsquo; atl1e.ko & rsquo;: -1 File exists" information, do not bother, continue to execute the following command) < Br>

6. lsmod
