Step

of creating a shared folder by SUSE

SUSE is a Linux operating system. To share a SUSE file on other systems, you must first create a shared folder. How do you create it? The following small series will give you a detailed introduction to the steps to create a shared folder under SUSE, I hope to help you.

Step:

1./etc/samba/smb.conf open the configuration file

2. add the final document of shared documents folder /opt The following is an example.

nte143:/etc/samba # vi smb.conf

[opt]

guest ok=yes

path=/opt

writable=yes

/opt is a shared directory, this directory needs to be created first, and given write access permission

3. Restart samba service

nte143 :~ # service smb restart

Shutting down Samba SMB daemon done

Starting Samba SMB daemon done

4. If you want to share the directory with boot, set it on the command line As follows:

#chkconfig --level 5 smb on

This way you can directly enter \\\\IP in Windows to access the SUSE Linux shared folder you need to access.
