Microsoft will pre-install Skype

for Windows 7 computers

Microsoft
will allow its computer OEMs and their system co-developers to download the OEM Pre-Installation Toolkit (OPK). The toolkit will be able to preload Skype on its newly released Windows 7 computer. The OPK installation wizard is available in English, German, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian. However, Windows 7 PCs that will be released in China will not ship with the Skype OPK.

Microsoft bought Skype in the fall of 2011, and it hopes to use the company to integrate video and VoIP communications into their products.
