AMD says non-Android/Linux/Win systems are meaningless

Neal Robison, head of content and program support at AMD, talked about his current views on mobile devices and PC operating systems. Neal Robison said that investing in Intel MeeGo or HP's WebOS is meaningless. The operating system partitions of various devices are now very mature, including Google Android, Apple iOS and Microsoft Windows.

Neal Robison believes that these three operating systems can meet all and all types of user needs. If you invest in its operating system other than the three major operating systems, the investment will not produce, including the Tizen operating system jointly developed by Intel and Samsung Electronics. After the failure of Intel's MeeGo operating system, Intel and South Korea's Samsung Electronics jointly launched a cross-platform Tizen operating system. Tizen is also suitable for devices such as smartphones, tablets and netbooks. Tizen is said to combine the strengths of Limo and Linux operating systems and has a built-in webb development environment based on HTML5 and WAC that can be used to develop applications for devices across platforms. Neal Robison said that AMD will take a different path from Intel and focus on product development for operating systems that have already achieved market success.
