Install RedHat Linux with Oracle VM VirtualBox

1. Install Oracle VM virtualBox, I am using version 4.0. The official download address is here.

2. Refer to the help file of the virtual machine to create a new virtual hard disk. Note that when selecting the system type, the system selects linux, the version selects linux2.4, and does not select RedHat, (otherwise, an installation error will occur. The author encountered the error of not finding the hard disk) because the default Redhat is the 2.6 kernel, and Redhat9 is the 2.4 kernel (a bit of antique level, huh, huh).

3. Load the Redhat9 installation image using the virtual CD tool provided by the virtual machine, and then restart.

4. The following interface appears.

REDHAT

5. Basically click on the next step. Since I need a custom installation (install it after I use it), so at the "Installation Type" step, click "Customize", and then the partition and other information, you can modify it according to your needs. In the "Select Package Group" step, check the software you need. Then just click Next and wait for the installation.
