The samba service is not installed and the dual-system boot fails.

Description: The VCS dual-machine is installed on the Linux operating system
of SUSE9SP3. After the configuration is completed, the system fails to start. The dual machine startup log is as follows: 2011/05/25 17:10:11 VCS INFO V-16-6-15004 (JNCL1-FS3) hatrigger:Failed to send trigger for postoffline; script doesn't exist2007/05/25 17: 10:11 VCS INFO V-16-10031-10504 (JNCL1-FS4) SambaServer: smb_server: online: Samba executable (smbd) not in path. Process: From the VCS's dual log, there is a script that doesn't exist and (smbd) not in path. The error message may be that the samba service caused the dual machine to fail to start. 1. Use the yast2 tool to check the service component and find that the samba component is not installed. 2. Insert the SUSE9 CD3, use the yast2 tool to add the samba component (select samba in the add/drop list); 3. After the installation is complete, restart the dual Machine, the dual machine started successfully.

Summary:

1, it is best to choose to maximize the installation when installing the SUSE operating system, otherwise sometimes something will be missing and cause an unknown error.

2, be good at finding problems from the logs and solve them in a targeted manner.
