Magic Winmail Server is a mail service system software developed by American AMAX Group, a branch company in China, —— Huamei Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., which has independent intellectual property rights. It is Amail's mail system for small and medium-sized users after the MagicMail mass mail system.

1: Configure Domain Name

Click Start → All Programs → Magic WinMail→ Magic Winmail Manager Tools, Open Winmail Management Console

Configuring Account

( 1) Expand the “Users and Groups” node tree and select “User Management”. In the right pane, you can see that there is a postmaster account under the domain name itchenyi.com. This account is the default account of Winmail. Click “Add a ” button to open the User Creation Wizard. As shown below


(2) In the “Basic Settings” window, enter the user name, real name, authentication type, password, password encryption method, password prompt question, and password recovery. Answer, account status and expiration date properties, click the “Next” button as shown below.

There are two types of authentication, the main differences are as follows.

· Internal Data Authentication: Use Winmail's database information for password verification.

·NT Domain Authentication: Use AD for password verification by combining with Windows Active Directory.


(3) In the working environment of the “personal information” window, the administrator needs to enter the employee information in detail, test the environment, and the default is not to enter, click “Next” ” button, as shown in the figure


(4) In the "group settings", you can assign users to a specific group, you can use the default settings, no settings, single Click the "Next" button, as shown.

Configuring Winmail's WEB server

Winmail client access requires IIS to be installed on the Winmail Mail Server server. Winmail Web site is published via IIS to use Webmail normally. The specific operation is as follows.

(1) Open the server manager → role &rarr in windows server 2008; add the role, select the WEB server (IIS) to add the necessary functions

(2) in the installation wizard In the "Role Service" window, add CGI, ISAPI extension, ISAPI filter under the application development module, click the Next button, as shown in the figure.

(4) Open the Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager, select the default website, right-click, select “Add Virtual Directory in the shortcut menu that opens, and enter the alias Webmail in the virtual directory. (5) Click on the computer name in the IIS Manager, double-click the ISAPI and CGI restrictions in the middle window, as shown below.


(6) In the rightmost operation window, click the Add button, select the path C: windowsphp5pgp5isapi.dll, described as php5 click the confirmation button, as shown below (Winmail4.7 Previously it seems to be using php4, the current version has no harmony version)


(7) Click the computer name of the IIS server again, double-click to select the middle window "Processor Mapping" ;, click the "Add Script Mapping" button in the right window, in the "Request Path" in the pop-up dialog box, enter "ld.;*.php", executable file selection "C:windowsphp5php5ispi.dll&rdquo" ;, enter the name & ldquo; php5 & rdquo;, click the confirmation button, as shown below.
