0x800C0133 wrong solution

When you use Microsoft Outlook Express software to receive mail, the following error message is displayed: "An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'test', Server: 'pop.test.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Security ( SSL): No, Error number: 0x800C0133" Reasons and solutions:

Because Outlook Express has a 2G problem, the reason for this problem is that the single folder in Outlook is more than 2G or close to 2G. When the error occurs, the main appearance is:

1), Mail received, but I can not see it; and the server is gone.
2), as long as there is an attachment to the mail, there is no way to accept, a receipt will be reported.
3), the folder inside can not open, or open but what mail can not see, but look at the .dbx file in the resource manager (for example, "inbox.dbx") but accounted for A lot of space.
4), received a large mail, after a long wait, and finally Outlook Express reported an error. After deleting a large message on the server, the small file can be received, but after encountering a large file, you can't open the inbox when you use OutLook Express. You can't check the contents of the inbox. Series problem (error number: 0x800C0133). After inquiry, the above problems were found to be caused by the .dbx file in the inbox exceeding the 2G space limit specified by OutLook Express. There is also a case where the mail cannot successfully enter the sent mail file after you send the mail. After the folder is found, a single mail storage file larger than or close to 2G appears in the mail storage directory. Since the Outlook Express mail storage file supports 2G maximum, the problem is judged here.

Workaround: Inboxes over 2G can back up or delete extra messages, or rename Inbox.dbx to old.dbx. Or create a new inbox and move some of the letters in batches.
