Remote Management Tool PsTools Management Computer

PsTools is a powerful remote management toolkit from Sysinternals. It consists of 12 commands that can be used to remotely manage Windows NT/2000/XP systems. The software operates in a DOS window. Although there is no beautiful graphical interface, the function is very powerful and easy to use. The software download address is http://www.sysinternals.com/files/pstools.zip. PsTools is green software, no need to install, just extract the download file to the corresponding directory and you can use it (the figure is the command set folder obtained after decompression). Below I will make some explanations on the use of the software.

1. defragment your hard disk without Boduantui

The school has several servers, located in different teaching building, to It’s time to tidy up the hard drive, but how far it will run back and forth! It is much more convenient to have Pstools. We just need to sit in our own office and enter the C:\\Pstools directory under the DOS window (assuming the software is extracted to the C drive). Enter "Psexec\ emote machine IP address-u username-p The password defrag c:" can be used to remotely organize the server hard disk.

The "Psexec" command can run programs on the target computer remotely. Other functions can be implemented with this command, and the reader can play it again.

2. Turn off the messenger service running on the remote computer

A few days ago, the principal called from the office building and said that his computer always popped up with Windows 2000/XP. Messenger advertising. The phone has not been hung yet. I entered a line command "Psservice \\ remote machine IP address - u username - p password stop messenger" on my computer. The messenger advertisement problem on the principal's side was solved immediately. Through this incident, the principal has to praise me a few words, saying that my computer level is true.

3. View server hard disk space

There are often many teachers uploading files to the file server in the campus network. In order to understand the remaining disk space on the file server, we can enter "Psinfo -d" \\Remote machine IP address -u username-p password", the disk space information is at a glance.

4. View the process on the remote computer and end the suspicious process

In order to check if there is a Trojan on the remote computer, we can use PsTools to view the process on the computer in real time, and every 3 seconds. Refresh once. The specific command format is "Pslist -s -n 3 \ emote machine IP address -u username-p password". If a Trojan is found, we can use the "Pskill" command to kill the Trojan process. For example, if you find the Trojan "Network Bull" process, you can use the "Pskill \\ Remote Machine IP Address checkdll.exe" command to end it, and then use the remote control software to modify the registry to delete the Trojan.

5. Quickly shut down the remote computer

Some teachers in the school don't turn off the computer after school. It's too much trouble to get rid of it. Then you can use the "Psshutdown" command to shut down the computer. Enter "Psshutdown -t 30 -s -m " To shut down, please save the file "\ emote machine IP address". To make it easier, I created a batch program that uses this command to shut down all the computers in the school. A scheduled task is set and the batch command is executed every day at 6 pm.

PsTools has some other commands, and the functions are also very practical. Readers can try to use them one by one. I believe that it will bring more convenience to the management of the campus network.
