Foreign media Neowin received some vague responses from Microsoft's official spokesperson:

We offer Office tools on all of these platforms across desktop PCs, tablets and smartphones. We have previously disclosed that Office Mobile will be available for free on 10.1" and below. Consumers can also purchase Office 365 subscriptions, complete with Office desktop and mobile, get Office 2016 and enjoy the latest features."
