Win10 closes the image auto-compression function of the wallpaper

The Win10 system can automatically compress the image, thereby reducing the memory usage of the image as a desktop background or a slideshow. However, the display of the image will be reduced. If you want to make the image clearer, you can use the following method to turn off this feature.

The compressed image is stored at the following address:

C:\\Users\\(your username)\\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Themes\\TranscodedWallpaper

The specific method is as follows:

1. Enter regedit in the Cortana search bar, press Enter to enter the registry editor

2. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Control Panel\\Desktop

3, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value, named JPEGImportQuality

4, adjust the numerical data to 100 (adjustable range is 60 to 100, “ 100 & rdquo; that is, “ 100 %”, meaning no compression)

5. After opening the task manager, restart the “File Manager” process and the changes will take effect.

The above is the Win10 system to close the wallpaper image automatic compression function, so that the display effect of the picture on the wallpaper will have a significant improvement.
