How to release hard disk space in Win10 system

After upgrading to Win10 system, many users have insufficient hard disk space. Obviously, Win10 system consumes system space resources, so regular cleaning is very necessary. Let me introduce how the Win10 system releases hard disk space.

Empty Trash

For a long time, Windows Recycle Bin has been among the elements of the system has not changed. Windows 10 still uses the Recycle Bin to hide all the files you want to throw away, and after you empty it, you get extra storage right away.

You can right-click on the trash icon to empty it directly. If there is no recycle icon on the desktop, you can go to Settings > System Storage, then click “this computer”, select “temporary files”, then click “ empty recycle bin”

It should be noted that this method only if there is a large number of files in the Recycle Bin which will have effect only. When you have just installed Windows 10, the recycle bin should be empty, so emptying the recycle bin should not have much impact on the hard drive space.

Deleting Temporary Files and Downloads

In addition to emptying the Recycle Bin option, you can also see the temporary files and downloads on your hard drive in the temporary files page. Temporary files on Windows systems are used to manage document editing, application processing, and printing tasks. These files are usually deleted automatically, but sometimes they are accumulated. You can delete them by clicking the <;Delete Temporary Files" button.
