Win10 How to Restore Win8.1 Network List

Win10 Preview 9860's network selection window, the PC setting open window replaces the function of sliding out the list from the charm sidebar by the side stroke gesture. Many users think that this is a retrogression, so they don't like this network selection window. How do you restore it to the Win8.1 network list? Since this operation is done in the registry, please use the cleanup master in the soft media cube to do the corresponding registry backup work before proceeding, just in case.

specific changes following steps:

in the Start menu search box or & ldquo; run & rdquo; enter regedit carriage return, open the registry editor, navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Control Panel\\Settings\\Network

▲ Right click on the Network folder icon and select “Permissions",

▲In the popup In the "Permissions" window, click on the "Advanced" button below

▲In the "Advanced" window, click on the "<Change" (C)”

▲ Enter the user name of the current system login in the window "Enter the object name to be selected", and then click “OK” and exit.

Note that you can confirm the exact name in the user account of the control panel. After inputting, click the “Check” button next to the button to confirm whether the entered user name exists: if it exists, it will be automatically typeset to be accurate. The name (with underscore) does not exist or the input is incorrect. If it is your own computer, if you are afraid of trouble, you can directly enter "Everyone" to give all users of this system permission (convenient and security will be reduced, but don't care too much about the preview system).

▲Click “OK"Close “Network Advanced Security Settings" window, select the “Administrators” tab in the "Security" tab, confirm “full control & rdquo; is checked, then click & ldquo; OK & rdquo; apply changes.

▲ Then double-click "ReplaceVan" in the Network folder in the Registry Editor. In the pop-up window, change the "Value data" from the default 1 to 0, click "Determine" & rdquo ;drop out.
