First, create a virtual disk
In the Windows7 system, you can create a virtual disk through the "Disk Management" tool, click <; start → run & rdquo;, pop-up; run ” window, enter "ldmg;diskmgmt.msc" in the text box (without double quotes), press the Enter key, open the "Disk Management" window, click “ Operation & Rarr; Create VHD & rdquo;, pop up & ldquo ; create and attach virtual disk & rdquo; window, click the "Browse" button, pop-up "Browse virtual disk file" window, set the save location and file name, click & ldquo; save & rdquo;, return & ldquo; create And the additional virtual disk & rdquo; window, set the capacity of the virtual disk, select the format of the virtual disk, and finally click the "OK" button (Figure 1), complete the VHD file creation, at this time "disk management" A new virtual disk called "Disk 1" will be added.

Tip: The format of the virtual hard disk is "dynamic expansion" and "fixed size", select "ldditions", "dynamic expansion", Windows7 The system dynamically adjusts the size based on the saved data; selecting the “Fixed Size” item indicates that the size of the virtual disk is fixed.
Second, initialize the virtual disk
In the Windows7 system, creating a virtual disk is very simple, but the virtual disk just created can not be used directly, but also have to "initialize". Move the mouse pointer to “Disk 1”, right click, select ““ Initialize Disk” in the pop-up shortcut menu, open the “Initialize Disk” window, select the disk, select the partition form, click “ determine the & rdquo; button (Figure 2), complete the virtual disk initialization.

Third, create a virtual drive letter
In the Windows7 system, after creating a virtual disk, you can also assign a drive letter to the virtual disk, right click and click New Ok, and after the virtual disk of "Initialize", select "New Simple Volume" in the pop-up menu, start "New Simple Volume Wizard", specify the volume size, assign the drive letter, format under the guidance of the wizard. ……, finally click the "Complete" button to complete the volume creation, open the "Computer" window, you can see "Virtual Disk" (Figure 3).

Fourth, close and delete the virtual disk
In Windows7 system, you can close and delete the virtual disk, open the "disk management" window, right mouse button Click the “Virtual Disk” icon and select ““Offline” in the pop-up menu to temporarily turn off the “virtual disk” and the virtual disk will not be accessible in the “Computer” window. If you want to use it, Go to the “Disk Management” window, right click on the “Virtual Disk” icon and select “Online” to resume access. If you want to delete the virtual disk at the bottom, go to the “Disk Management” window, right-click the “Virtual Disk” icon, and select “Separate VHD” in the shortcut menu that pops up, pop-up “Separate Virtual Hard Disk” & rdquo; In the window, click the “OK" button to delete the virtual disk.

Tip: When separating virtual disk, if you select “Delete virtual hard disk file after deleting disk”, separating virtual disk will completely delete virtual disk file. If you do not check the Delete virtual disk file after deleting the disk, the detached virtual disk will retain the virtual disk file. To create the virtual disk in the future, just go to the “Disk Management” window and click “Operation & Rarr; Attach VHD” ;, virtual disk file can be imported to generate a virtual disk.
