How to remove the Windows 7 shortcuts from the small arrows?

When installing software on Windows, it usually creates a corresponding shortcut icon on the desktop, and there is a small arrow with a quick indication. From Windows 98, many people will use various methods to remove it, optimize and beautify the class. Most of the tool software also provides the option to remove the small arrow of the shortcut icon, which is actually achieved by modifying the registry option.

Don't want those small arrows to show up, to bother your pure desktop. We also said above, in fact, there are many ways to solve this problem, but the removal method we introduced next, still use the registry modification method, which is also used in the previous version of Windows, and then review it again.
1. Start Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> Enter regedit), and then expand the following branch: "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\lnkfile";
2. Delete “lnkfile” ;IsShortcut” string value item, because the "IsShortcut" item is used to control whether to display the small arrows in the normal application and data file shortcuts.
3. Expand the following branches in order: "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\piffile”
4. Delete the “IsShortcut” string value item in the “piffile” subkey. The IsShortcut value item is used to control whether to display the small arrow of the MS_DOS program shortcut
5. Exit the registry editor and restart EXPLORER. EXE process.
