Tool Materials
win7 System
Step Method
In the Start menu, open the Control Panel and then navigate to: Control Panel Network and Internet Network and Sharing Center Advanced Sharing Settings

< Br>

In this panel, you will see the following options, you need the option you selected, I have a screenshot of it here, look at the picture to check it. Finally click the [Save Settings] button. Go to this step and see if your share is successful. If not, continue to troubleshoot the following questions:

Check if your file sharing settings are correct: right click Click on the folder you want to share and select: Share - Family Group. Then click on {Share} all the way.

Next right click on the folder, then select [Properties]

Under the sharing option, click [Advanced Sharing]

Select [Share this folder] and click the OK button. This step is to determine if your sharing settings are correct.

Next, we modify the permissions. Under the security options, click [Edit]

to open a similar dialog box. We click the [Add] button to add a user group

Enter everyone and click [Check Name], then click the OK button.

Return to the editing permission interface, select the user group of everyone, and then set the permissions for reading and execution. Do not set too many permissions, otherwise it will cause security risks to your computer.

Check if your problem is solved. Is it possible for others to see your shared files? If you don't see it, it may be a firewall problem: navigate to the control panel system in turn in the control panel. And secure Windows Firewall, as shown in the figure

In the Windows Firewall panel, click on the [Allow Programs or Functions via Windows Firewall] on the navigation bar.

A list of programs that are open Find this option [File and Printer Sharing], check it, and click OK.

If the problem is still not resolved, then the workgroup name is incorrect. Check the workgroup name on your computer and other computers on the LAN, as shown in the figure: Right-click on the computer in the menu, then click Properties,

In the open system panel, find the workgroup, see if the name is the same, if not, click [Change Settings] to change to the same.

Last check to see if you can see shared files on your computer, find the network on the desktop as shown, open.

In the network panel, find this computer with shared files, then double-click to open

The folder we shared is here.
