Windows7 began to launch, driving US PC sales soared 40%

Beijing time on the afternoon of November 3, according to foreign media reports, Morgan Stanley analyst Kathryn Huberty (Kathryn Huberty) released an investment report on Tuesday Windows 7 has played a positive role in driving PC sales.

According to US market research firm NPD, PC sales in the United States increased by 40% year-on-year in the week ending October 24. Microsoft released Windows 7 on October 22.

As consumers expect Windows 7 to be released, US PC sales in the previous two weeks have decreased by 29% and 2%, respectively. Although PC sales before this year showed a year-on-year increase, the increase was only between 17% and 19%.

Huberty pointed out that since the end of August, US PC stocks have fallen by 12%, below the 3% regular stock ratio. But this number will pick up in the future.

For Microsoft, Dell and HP, the above figures are good news. In the long run, the more important indicator is the number of users upgrading to Windows 7. Whether Windows 7 can steal users from the Mac, or prevent users from losing, remains to be seen.
