Branch Cache Acceleration Windows 7 download speed 10 times faster than XP

The report sent back at the Microsoft Technology Conference Tech·Ed 2009 was interspersed with a lot of video presentations during the speech session of Microsoft Global Vice President Mike Nash. During the presentation of new features and new technologies for Windows 7, Windows 7 brought surprises to the participants, and the audience's wonderful performance on Windows 7 was rewarded with warm applause.

After the Windows 7 security demonstration, Microsoft staff played another "Amazing Windows 7 Download" video.

In the video presentation process, a 1.6MB file is downloaded over the Internet in Windows XP in 20 seconds. Second, when using a Windows 7 operating system to download the same website, IE's own download tool will complete the download in an instant, the total time is only two seconds!

The live demo staff believes that the download speed of Windows 7 is ten times that of Windwos XP. The secret of this is that Windows 7 uses a new download technology called "Branch Cache". The demonstrator said that the new "Branch Cache" download technology can speed up the download speed. For enterprises with insufficient network bandwidth, such technology is very practical.
