On Monday, a consumer codenamed "mdr322" said that it took him a month to register to get the free upgrade label for Windows 7, but the service time on the label was delayed by two weeks. After that, he still did not get an upgrade for Windows 7.

Another consumer, code-named "Vlad G," said that Dell's service attitude is very unprofessional in implementing a free upgrade to Windows 7, which will cause consumers to deviate from them.

In addition, some HP consumers have complained about the delay in the free upgrade of Windows Vista to Windows 7. They believe that HP's approach will make consumers lose their loyalty to HP.

In response, a Dell spokesperson said that the upgrade date on those labels is only the expected delivery date. The delay is due to the shipper’s inventory problem. Please be patient. .

For the explanation given by Dell, some consumers expressed understanding. They said that the upgrade of Windows 7 is free, and it is normal for the upgrade to be delayed due to shipping and tax issues.

At present, some consumers have indicated that they have received a free upgrade of Windows 7 from Dell. However, to date, no other HP users have indicated that they have also been free to upgrade Windows 7.

An HP spokesperson said that the upgrade progress of Windows 7 is indeed much slower than expected, but in order to enable users to get a simple upgrade experience, HP will make more efforts.
