Windows7 hot-selling inside story

According to the information website Vistablog, this week, operating system market share statistics show that Windows 7 exceeded the full version of Apple MacOS in just one month.

As of now, the average market share of Windows 7 is 5.07%, and it continues to rise. The sum of the Apple MacOS series is about 5%.

In the above statistics, it is unclear whether pirated users are included, and in many Eastern Europe and Asia, the piracy rate is over 80%. Previously, the industry reported that merchants planned to use the method of restricting supply to create a "Windows 7 out of stock" phenomenon.

In fact, given the status of Windows in the field of personal and business desktop systems, plus a series of discount promotions, it is not surprising that Windows 7 has achieved such results. Apple's OS has been maintained at 5% for a long time, and Windows 7 really surpasses the predecessor Vista.

Another interesting phenomenon is that Windows 7 has a share of 5.14% over the weekend, while the average for the entire week is only 4.15%. In other words, the market share of Windows 7 should be between 3.78% and 5.14%.

In addition, among all Windows 7 users, individual users far exceed enterprise users. The key to measuring the success of Windows 7 is whether enterprises can deploy on a large scale.

Last week, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told the outside world that Windows 7 had sold 40 million units. At present, XP, which has been in existence for eight years, is still the most mainstream operating system. It is still unknown when Windows 7 can replace XP.
