Installation experience - Windows 7

under Mac

See the media reports all over the sky, I believe that many Mac users have been coveting Windows 7 for a long time, right? However, there are only a handful of tutorials on the Internet for installing Windows 7 on Mac. Fortunately, someone has successfully installed and released the experience, although not as detailed as the tutorial, but it helps a little.

The system selected in this article is Windows 7 Build 7057. According to the truth, other versions are definitely no problem.

Installation

First of all, before installing, you must first download the ISO image of Windows 7, preferably the new version, because there are fewer bugs. Then burn it into a disc using the burning software. In addition, for driver compatibility considerations, we recommend 32-bit.

Then, you have to prepare a BootCamp partition, if you haven't already, you can refer to Apple's official guide.

Switch the boot disk to Windows partition, which can be set in the Mac System Preferences option, or in the Windows BootCamp control panel.

Now, back up all the files in the WIndows partition. If you are installing XP, you have to install it completely; if it is Vista, you can upgrade directly. But be cautious, I still feel that the new installation is better.

Finally, put the disc and start the installation. The system may be started several times during the installation process, and it takes about 20 minutes to install. After the installation is complete, remove the CD to complete the user settings.

Drive

It’s not enough to install the system, there are drivers. Put in the Mac installation CD, most drivers should be able to recognize and complete the installation.

Now, except for sound and Bluetooth, everything else should be fine. For the sound card, Reltek officially provides it, and the Vista driver also supports Windows 7.

Reminder, do not install the wireless network card driver provided in the automatic update, it will cause the device to be deactivated, you must roll back the driver to restore normal. Also, to prevent accidental installation of this update, it is best to right-click to hide this update.

Okay, now it’s the turn of Bluetooth. This is the most troublesome. I encountered several blue screens when I installed this. Anyway, you still have to install it. Click the Bluetooth icon on the tray and click on “Add Device”. When the Bluetooth device appears, right click and select the option ending with HID. It's not over yet, because it will automatically stop working when you use Bluetooth. What should I do? Click on the Bluetooth icon - Open Settings - Hardware - Double click on Apple's built-in Bluetooth. Click the "Change Settings" option under the General tab to remove the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save energy" option in the Power Management tab.
