Windows7 infrared touch screen supports two-touch

Multi-touch has already entered the market. It is not Microsoft's new technology, such as used on iPhones, but it is the first time to use Multi-touch technology on desktop Windows 7. Before HP had a related tablet, although it can be touched, but only one point, the system can only use Vista, it can not support multi-touch, only WinServer can support multi-touch.

As an operating system, developers have made an API interface. Hardware vendors develop infrared screens, touch screens, etc. based on APIs and related white papers and standards. By following this standard, Microsoft developers can be perfect. WinServer does not pay attention to hardware details, whether it is infrared screen or touch screen, but until now WinServer only supports two-point touch. As a touch screen, you can now support 5 gestures. If the manufacturer wants to add some highlights when developing the touch screen, he can also develop the sixth gesture. Just like a logical mouse, if there is no logic-specific program, there will be no new performance.

The reporter learned from the staff that the current two-point infrared touch screen is the most economical and practical solution, which is enough for the average user. At the same time, it does not require any hardware configuration of the computer, as long as a USB interface is sufficient.
