The tool solves the problem of netbook users upgrading to Windows 7, because almost all netbooks are not equipped with an optical drive. Earlier this year, there were rumors that Microsoft would sell Windows 7 via a USB stick, and now it turns out that this is just a rumor.

Microsoft said that to install Windows 7 on a netbook without an optical drive, users need a 4GB USB flash drive. Other requirements include .NET Framework 2.0 and above and have administrator privileges.
