How to share printers in win7 family group:

1. Create and join family groups

1. Click on the “Start” button on the Win7 computer connected to the printer. “Control Panel”. In the search box, type "family" to find the "family group" option;

2. Click “create family group> in the "family group" window, check the box Shared content. The printer is naturally required;

3, click “ next & rdquo;, the system will give a string of irregular characters, this is the family group password;

4, remember After clicking the string of passwords, click “Complete“Save and close the settings. Other Win7 computers in the home can be added to this family group with a password. The method is to open the “Home Group” setting from the control panel. Second, use the shared printer in the home group

After joining the home group with the printer, the system will automatically detect the printer on the network. Automatically connecting the printer does not require any action, as long as the family group has been added, the printer will be listed in <;Devices and Printers". Click the “Start” button to open “Devices & Printers”. If the location shows the printer device, then everything is ready and the printer is ready for use.

If the printer is not listed in "Devices & Printers", but you can see a message stating "Windows found a home group printer", then click on the message to start the installation printer. (Note: All versions of Win7 can join the family group, but Win7 Home Basic cannot create family groups.)
