Win7 can't open the group policy editor with the gpedit command

Normally, users can open the Group Policy Editor by typing gpedit.msc in the Run window and clicking OK. However, there is a user response to the Group Policy Editor that cannot be opened using the gpedit.msc command. I don't know what to do if I encounter this problem. The following small series will introduce the countermeasures for this problem in Win7 system.

1. First, press the win+R shortcut on the keyboard to open the running window of the computer. In the open running window, type regedit and click Enter. This will open the registry editor. The window is up.

2. Open the Registry Editor window, then click the left menu to expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Policies \\ Microsoft \\ Mmc entry, and then find the key in the right pane Restrict_Run.

3. Double-click to open the Restrict_Run option, then pop up in the editing window, modify the value data to 0, and click OK to save it.

The above is the countermeasure to use the gpedit command in Win7 system to open the Group Policy Editor. It is worth mentioning that after the user completes the above steps, the computer needs to be restarted to take effect.
