How to solve the sudden stagnation of the Win7 desktop gadget update?

The Win7 system comes with a lot of desktop gadgets that suddenly stagnate during use. And this situation only appears on these gadgets, not in other programs. Then it is very likely that the cache of the Win7 desktop gadget is too large, so is there any solution to this situation?

Solution:

1. The gadget exits. Use the shortcut key CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the task manager. On the “process” tab, find and select “sidebar.exe”, click “end process” to exit the run;

2. Rename Windows Live\\\\Services\\\\Cache. Open Windows Explorer with Win+E, enter the following path in the address bar and press Enter.

%localappdata%\\\\Microsoft\\\\Windows Live\\\\Services

Rename the Cache folder, for example, Cache.old

3. Delete the relevant cache file. Enter the following path in the Explorer address bar and press Enter.

%localappdata%\\\\Microsoft\\\\Windows Sidebar\\\\Cache

Remove all Cache files listed here. Don't worry, the system will automatically generate it later.

Note: Other gadgets downloaded and installed are usually listed under the %localappdata%\\\\Microsoft\\\\Windows Sidebar\\\\Gadgets path. Open the folders of these gadgets separately, and if they contain a Cache folder, you can delete them together.

4. Use the shortcut key CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the task manager and select “New Task” under “Files”. Type “SideBar.exe”, then press “OK”. Resume the operation of each gadget.

The above is the solution to the sudden stagnation of the Win7 desktop gadget. It is recommended that the desktop gadget not open too much at a time. If one is turned off, there will be no sudden stagnation.
