Learn about 6 different system installation methods

There are many ways to install the system. Different installation methods have different advantages. Before you install the system to understand the installation method of various systems, you can choose which method is more suitable for you according to the actual situation.

First, VHD installation method

Description: VHD is a virtual hard disk file format of MS, WIN7/2008 has supported VHD format from the bottom of the system, so you can Boot to select the operating system in the boot VHD. This resulted in a completely new system installation method, copying the VHD, importing the VHD, modifying the boot file, and entering the 7/2008 system. Because this method uses fewer people, it is more abstract and will not be detailed. Interested friends can find relevant information on their own.

Second, analog optical drive installation method:

Description: Analog optical drive installation method is the simplest to install, fast installation, good compatibility, but more restrictions, recommended Used for multi-system installation.

Method: Load the ISO file of the system with the analog CD-ROM program under the existing system, run the installation program of the analog CD-ROM drive, enter the installation interface, and leave enough space for the C-disk during the upgrade installation. Multi-system installations preferably install the new system to a new, blank partition.

Disadvantages: 1. Since the existing system disk cannot be formatted during installation, a single system clean installation cannot be achieved. Because the old system files take up space, it also wastes disk space. ?

2. Because the old system partition cannot be formatted, residual virus files may compromise the security of the new system.

3, the old 32-bit system can not install 64-bit system, the old 64-bit system can not install 32-bit system.

Third, hard disk installation method:

Hard disk installation method can be divided into two types:

1, the simplest hard disk installation method: the system ISO Extract the files to other partitions, run the SETUP.EXE file in the unzipped directory, and follow the corresponding steps, no longer detailed.

This method has the same limitations and disadvantages as the analog optical drive installation method. It is also impossible to format old systems and 32/64-bit different systems cannot be mixed. Recommended for multi-system installations.

2, classic hard disk installation method: (similar to PE boot principle)

Description: Installation is relatively cumbersome, installation speed is fast, can achieve clean installation, different from method 1 The old system files are not left behind, but the same 32/64-bit different systems cannot be mixed.

Method: Decompress the system image ISO file to other partitions. According to the old system, it is divided into the installation of XP system and the installation of VISTA and above.

1, XP and the following system installation, copy the installation directory to the root directory of the C drive: BOOTMGR, BOOT, EFI two folders, BOOT.WIM under SOURCES (located in the C disk SOURCES directory) , run the following command:

c: \\ boot \\ bootsect /nt60 c:?

restart the computer WIN7 computer to boot into recovery mode, select the DOS prompt, delete all files in the C drive, run Install SETUP under the installation directory.

2, VISTA above system installation, do not have to copy the above files, directly reboot into the computer repair mode, select the DOS prompt, delete all files under the C drive, run SETUP under the installation directory to install.

Disadvantages: 1, 32/64 bit different systems can not be mixed, because the SETUP and BOOTSECT programs of different bit widths can not run in the ectopic environment.

2. An abnormal interruption in the installation process will result in the system failing to boot. So be sure to reserve an emergency disk.

Four, USB flash drive installation method: (not a mass production USB flash drive, highly recommended! Method is super simple)

Description: U disk installation method and the advantages of CD installation Similar, but without a disc. There are many benefits compared to other installation methods:

1. Not affected by the 32/64-bit system environment. If you install 64-bit WIN7 on a 32-bit old system, or 64-bit install 32-bit WIN7, you will find that SETUP cannot run because the 32-bit system cannot run 64-bit programs. This method can solve various incompatibilities and is faster to install than the disc. ?

2, USB flash drive can be used as a rescue disk: If the system fails to start the system due to various reasons, then your USB flash drive is your first aid disk:)

3, carry it with you Convenient, one preparation, multiple installations. Can be deleted at any time without using it. There is a new version, update the file.

4, this method is also applicable to card readers and mobile hard drives, especially mobile hard drives can greatly improve the installation speed.

5, can achieve dual system, or a single system clean installation (format C disk when installed). This is determined by the options at the time of installation.

Method: ?

1. Format the USB flash drive under VISTA/WIN7/2008 and set the U disk partition as the boot partition (this is the key to successful boot installation!), method: “Computer”->“Manage”->“Disk Management”->Point USB Disk Partition, Right->“Format” and “Set as Active Partition”. “Disk Management& rdquo; Unable to use disk tool software to adjust. The traditional DISKPART method is not a necessary method, and it is not applicable to most people because of the command prompt operation.

2, decompress the ISO image file of WIN7 into the U disk, the simplest is to use WINRAR to directly decompress the USB disk. Or use a virtual optical drive to load and copy into a USB flash drive. The USB flash drive installation disk is now complete.

3, the computer is set to USB flash drive (old computer USB-HDD set to the first boot, the new computer from the boot drive select the preferred disk priority, depending on the BIOS), press F10 to save and exit, restart the computer, follow the prompts step by step Normal installation is fine.

4, only for the lack of USB flash drive capacity: you can only extract the key boot file (refer to the hard disk installation method, including BOOTMGR, BOOT, EFI two folders, BOOT.WIM under SOURCES, a total of 200MB or so ), and extract all the files in the image to other partitions of the hard disk. After booting successfully with the USB flash drive, select the computer repair mode, enter DOS, run SETUP under the hard disk WIN7 installation directory to install, but the installation will be more troublesome. ?`)

Disadvantages:

1. The biggest drawback is the need for a USB flash drive or mobile hard drive (believe this is not a problem for most people).

2, very few computers can not be booted by USB (I have not encountered it anyway), this situation has to be honest and practical other installation methods.

V. Software Boot Installation Method

Description: External software is required for booting (see attachment), no 32-bit/64-bit limit, single system or multiple The system can be cleanly installed in a pure system and the installation process is simple.

Method:

1. Use the virtual CD-ROM to load the system ISO image copy installation file or directly use WINRAR to extract to the root directory of the non-system partition of the hard disk (not the folder!)

2, download the attachment and run, select mode 1 or 2 according to the old system environment (Hint: If you need to uninstall Nt6 hdd Installer boot menu after final installation into multiple systems, it is best to uninstall in the old system).

3, restart the selection of Nt6 hdd Installer automatically enter the installation interface, no longer detailed. Installed on other partitions into a dual system, format the C drive as a single system.

Disadvantages:

1. External software is required.

2. A specific system environment/boot environment may cause boot failure.

Six, CD installation method:

Description: CD installation method can be regarded as the most classic, best compatibility, the most simple and easy to learn installation method. Upgradeable installation, or new installation (optional formatting of the old system partition during installation), flexible installation. Flexible to install 32/64-bit systems without the limitations of the old system.

Method:

1. Download the ISO file of the relevant system installation disk and reserve it. (There can be omitted from the CD)

2. Boot into the BIOS (General hardware self-test press DEL or F2 or F1 key, different computer settings), set to drive the CD-ROM priority. Press F10 to save and exit.

3, put in the CD, restart the computer, the CD boot into the installation interface. Install by the appropriate options. When you choose to install a hard disk partition location, you can select a blank partition or an existing partition and format the partition. Others are not detailed.

Disadvantages: In the case of the WIN7 test version, this disc installation is undoubtedly the most extravagant, wasteful, and least environmentally friendly method. It is recommended only if it is not available or is not suitable for other installation methods.

Installation Note: Before the system is installed, please prepare the backup of the emergency disk and the old system. This is very important. In case of installation problems, it will not be caught off guard.
