Especially after using the Windows 7 photo viewer, some users' system speed will become slower. This is usually the case. The first reaction will be whether the computer is poisoned or there is a problem somewhere on the computer. In fact, the reason why the Windows 7 system was slowed down was to enable “Use Windows 7 Display Calibration”.

Why is it enabled to use "Windows 7 monitor calibration" will slow down the system?

Using Windows 7's own color correction function will generate an ICC profile in the system, after which, when the user browses When the image file is used, the default of Windows 7 is not to call the component that comes with the graphics card, but to call the generated ICC configuration file.

Tip: If the user has not used the color correction function of Windows7, the ICC configuration file will not appear, and the above problem will not occur.

For this, the solution given by the user is to delete the "CalibratedDisplayProfile-0.icc" file under "X:\\Windows\\System32\\spool\\drivers\\color". However, this method can only solve the problem temporarily and cannot be solved once and for all. This is because once someone has used the color correction feature that comes with the Windows 7 system on your computer again, the file will be generated again.

So let's introduce a better method: Go to the Windows 7 Control Panel and find and open “Color Management”. In the "Color Management" dialog that opens, switch to the "Advanced" tab and click on "Change system defaults" in the lower left corner.

Subsequently, the system will pop up a dialog box again "Color Management - System Defaults". In this dialog box, also switch to the "Advanced" option, and then cancel the system default checkmark "Use Windows Monitor Calibration", after the modification is completed, save the settings to exit.

This simple step can turn off the Windows monitor calibration feature. After shutting down, you will find that your computer is running faster.
