Windows7 LAN set up

In the university bedroom or at home, we want to make several computers into a LAN to share files and play online games together, but setting up a LAN is not an easy task for novices. Groups, setting login methods, opening services, etc., sometimes have minor problems that can't be shared. Many of us have seen this situation, but in Windows 7, there is another way to share files: the family group, which easily solves the problem of setting up the LAN. Follow the steps below to build a LAN.

Step 1

Go to the Network and Sharing Center in Control Panel and click on the Select Family Group and Sharing option.

Step 2

Create a family group. In the pop-up interface, choose to create a family group. In general, we can select all shared content. Click Next. After waiting, a password will appear. Remember this password. This is the credentials of someone entering your family group. Now your The family group has been built.

Step 3

Join the family group. Now you can add computers in the same LAN to your home group. Go to the control panel and find the family group option. After clicking Enter, you will automatically find the family group you created earlier, choose to join immediately, enter the previous family group password, and wait for it to join.

Finally

After the home group is set up, the shared password is more complicated, so you must write it down or change it to your usual password. In addition, since the wireless network will be searched by others, the set family password should not be too simple.

Family Group Settings Sharing Files

File sharing for family groups is built on the library by default. Open the computer, you can see the computer in the family group in the toolbar on the left side. Click Open to see several library folders such as videos and pictures. Generally, you can send the files you need to share to the corresponding library. But in an easier way, right-click on the file or folder you want to share, you can see a shared option, choose to share to the family group, and other computers can view your files. If you need to enter the copy to the operation, you should choose the family group. If there are more computers in the family group, just want to share the file to a specific person, select the last specific user, and select the computer name to share.
