How to prevent 100M system reserved partition when installing win7 system. If you upgrade from xp system or reinstall win7 system, there should be no so-called 100M system reserved partition.

The installation here refers to the installation of the new disk or the removal of all the old partitions after installing the win7 system.

The first method: use a third-party partitioning tool to partition the disk first. There is no third-party tool, use the xp installation disk, and partition the disk. As long as the partition is formatted, there is no need to install the xp system.

Note: To format the C drive with the xp disk, and when installing the win7 system, you can no longer format the C drive.

The second method: use win7 diskpart command to partition,

Detailed steps:

1, when installing win7 system to partition this step, hold down shift +F10 calls up the command line window

2. Enter the command: diskpart ###start diskpart

3. Enter the command: list disk ### to view all the disks. In general, only A disk, only one disk will be listed in the list.

4. Enter the command: select disk 0 ###Select the disk to be operated and set the disk as the current operating disk, only one disk. If you have more than one disk, you can choose as needed.

5. Enter the command: clean ###Clear all partitions on the disk

6. Enter the command :create partition primary size=20480 ###Create a primary partition, size default unit MB, without adding size will create the remaining disk space as a primary partition, the extension is similar to a logical partition

7, input Command: active ###Mark the current primary partition as the primary partition to be operated

8. Enter the command: format quick ###快Formatting partitions quickly

If you are going to create multiple primary partitions, repeat steps 6, 7, and 8. If you only want to create one primary partition, continue with the following steps

Enter the command: create partition extended ###Create all the remaining space as an extended partition

10. Enter the command: create partition logical ### to create the remaining space of the extended partition as a logical partition. You can also Specify the size parameter to create multiple logical partitions for the remaining space.

11. Enter the command: format qucik ###Quickly format the logical partition

12. Enter the command: exit ### Exit diskpart

13. Enter the command: exit ###Exit the command line window

Go back to the win7 installation partition step, click Refresh, select the disk partition you want to install and install it.
