Advanced IE7 you do not know the practical skills (4)

4, by modifying the make IE better print

IE7 provides many ways to control the page you print, including whether to print headers and footers, Things in the header and footer, whether to print page thumbnails, and more.

change the print option is very simple. Click the drop-down arrow next to the print icon on top of IE and select Print Preview. A window like the one shown in Figure 5 will open, showing the preview of the page print.

icon on the page is to control the way how to print a page. They are all very intuitive and can be understood directly by looking at the meaning, including printing in portrait and landscape modes, reducing font fill to make it more suitable for paper, and controlling whether to display headers and footers when printing.

example, to open or close the header and footer, just click on the fifth icon from the left, or press Alt-E. This preview display will change depending on whether the header and footer are displayed. When you have finished setting up, click the print icon on the page.

If you prefer, you can also modify the actual display in the header and footer stuff at the time of printing. In the "Print Preview" screen, click the geared "Page Setup" icon. "Page Setup" dialog box will pop up

header and footer input pane will tell IE to print what they need in the header and footer premises. By default, it appears in the Header pane: w&b page number, &p/&P(&W).

This is to tell IE to print the title of the window (& w); print "page" word next to it, and the rest of the text on the right (& bPage); followed by a space and then Print page number (&p); then print the total number of pages (&P) after another space.

displayed footer pane is: & u & b & d. This is to make IE

print URL (& u), and then print the date short date format (& b & d).

For example, if you are visiting New England football team's home page ( www.patriots.com

), time is November 20, 2007, then is the title of the window "OfficialWebsiteoftheNewEnglandPatriots" (new England football team's official website) while the header page will print this:

OfficialWebsiteoftheNewEnglandPatriotsPage1of2

footer will print this:
< BR> http://www.patriots.com

11/20/2007

through the header and footer in the "page Setup" dialog box Change the text and code in the pane, and you can change what is printed in the header and footer.

code that you can use to set the printing mode as shown in Table 1.

5, it should let the menu bar back in place

many users have complained that the menu bar in IE7 disappeared. If you want to turn it on temporarily, you can press the Alt key. If you want it to always exist, choose Tools >; Menu Bar.

Even if when you do that, you still feel some strange looks. Unlike earlier versions of IE, the menu bar is below the address bar, but above it. You can solve this problem by modifying the registry.

1) Open the "Registry Editor."

2) into the "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternetExplorerToolbarWebBrowser".

3) Select "Edit" & gt ;; "New" & gt ;; "DWord value."

4) create a new named "ITBar7Position" the DWord value and give it a value of 1.

5) Exit the Registry and close IE. Then reopen it. The menu bar will now return to the address bar.
