Microsoft Highlights: Online Backup Service

  
        The Microsoft Online Backup Service is an installable service for Windows Server 8 Beta that allows backup of files and folders to the cloud service.

This fundamentally is an off-line backup solution, backup to the cloud with Microsoft Online Backup service. It provides file and folder backup for Windows Server 8 machines.

it can not back up the system state. Successful applicants have limited access to Microsoft online services for the first time. The installation is a two-part process that requires the creation of an online Microsoft online service account (the beta version is not required because the ID is pre-installed) and installs a client component specific to the Microsoft Online Backup Service feature.

The backup may be configured by a management computer or PowerShellcmdlet:
