Fix Windows 7 Sidebar not working properly

  
        

In Windows 7 beta 1, disabling UAC will cause the gadgets in the sidebar to be unusable. This is inconvenient for some people. If you turn off UAC but want to use the sidebar, what should you do?

1.Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe)

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Sidebar\\Settings

3. A DWord value, the name is AllowElevatedProcess

4. Set the DWord value to 1

5. Close the registry editor, this time the sidebar can be used, if not used, Please restart Windows 7.
