Win7
The system has changed a lot of steps in the connection setting of the broadband system compared to the XP system, but it is similar. The following is a detailed picture tutorial to explain how to create a broadband connection (PPPOE) under Win7. .

In general, there are three ways to create a broadband connection under Win7. The first one is the most common and most convenient operation method, the second one is slightly more complicated, and the third one is for no "network" on the desktop. The method of operating with the two icons "Internet Explorer" can be used according to the specific situation.

1. Right click on the "Network" icon on the desktop and select Properties.

2. Right click on the "Internet Explorer" icon on the desktop and select Properties. Click the "Connect" option on the "Internet Properties" window that pops up, then click the "Add" button on the page.

3. Click "Start" - "Control Panel" in the lower left corner of the desktop, then find and double-click "Network and Sharing Center" in the open control panel.

We are now operating in the first method (the other two methods are the same as the following after entering the settings). Right click on the "Network" icon on the desktop and select "Properties". ", then the "Network and Sharing Center" page will open. (See picture above).

There is a "Change Network Settings" item in the middle of the "Network and Sharing Center" page. Click the first option of this item "Set New Connection or Network" and then in the new window that pops up. Select "Connect to the Internet" (the default option) and click "Next". (See the figure below)

Select "still set new connection"

Then a new window will pop up, just click "Broadband (PPPOE)(R)" in the window. Option. (See the figure below)

Then in the new window that pops up, enter the “username” and “password” provided by the telecom company when you handle the broadband. The connection name defaults to “Broadband connection”. "Of course, you can also modify any name you like." Then click "Connect". (See the figure below)

If the MO signal is normal and the account and password are entered correctly, you can connect to the Internet normally.

Windows7 does not provide the option to create a desktop shortcut icon, so in order to use the broadband connection conveniently and quickly in the future, we also need to create a broadband connection shortcut to the desktop, so that we can use it next time. Broadband connection. The specific method is as follows:

Repeat any of the above three steps, that is, you can enter the "Network and Sharing Center" page, and then click the "Change Adapter Settings" option in the upper left corner of the page. (See the picture below)

Then you can see the "Broadband Connection" you just created (or the name you set when you created PPPOE), right click on "Broadband Connection" and select "Create Shortcut". (See the figure below)

Click "Yes" on the warning window that pops up, then close this page and you will find that the broadband connection shortcut has appeared on our desktop.

There is also a convenient way to directly click on the "Broadband Connection" in the above figure and drag it onto the desktop. The effect is the same. Ha ha.
