Overcome Windows 7 Compatibility Barriers Install Cool My Music Box

Many users still encounter a lot of software incompatibility problems when using Windows 7. For example, if you use the cool music box when listening to music, you can't install the music box under Windows 7. The prompt message is "Windows Media Player version is not compatible." , the installation could not be completed." So how to overcome this problem?

In fact, the solution is still relatively simple. This type of player is similar to Thunder, and does not support Windows Media Player 12.

The principle of the solution: modify the version of Windows Media Player to a version that can be recognized by the cool music box.

Steps:

Step 1: Obtain the user rights of the "wmplayer.exe" file in the C:\\PRogram Files\\Windows Media Player folder.

How to get the administrator rights of files under Windows 7? There are two ways to do this:

First, you can use the import registry method to add the "Get Permissions" function to the right button.

Download right click to get permission registry: Full control.rar

Second, follow the steps below to get Windows 7 administrator privileges:

1). Open folder properties option Cards, click in order: Security > Advanced Owner Edit, select the Administrators user group (or the group your user is in), and confirm and close the properties dialog to modify the owner of the file.

2). Right click again to open the Properties dialog box, click: Security > Advanced, then click the "Change Permissions" button, select and double-click Administrators (or your user's group), single Click the "Allow" option box after "Full Control" and press OK to exit to get administrator rights.

Step 2: Back up the wmplayer.exe file under Windows 7 system first. Then use the Program Files\\Windows Media Player\\wmplayer.exe file under Windows XP or Windows Vista (you should have a way to find this file, there is no download here), replace the Windows 7 system Program Files\\Windows Media Player file. The wmplayer.exe file is hidden.

Step 3: Install the cool music box. This will be installed normally.

Step 4: Overwrite the backup wmplayer.exe file to the original folder (that is, overwrite the wmplayer.exe file under Windows XP or Windows Vista), otherwise your WMP will not be used.

After the coverage, you can do it well, cool my music box can be used well, and it will not affect the normal use of WMP.
