Windows 7 excellent feature analysis

After nearly eight years of use, users have become accustomed to the operation of Windows XP. I have forgotten how many third-party plugins I have installed for it in order to improve my Windows XP system. After installing the burning software, search software, Firefox browser, media player and other tools, my start menu can be extended to the other end of the screen.

After the last seven months of Windows 7 trials, this new Microsoft operating system gives me the excitement that feels like a brand new sports car. And this is the first time I have felt that the Windows XP system I once trusted has become an old car waiting for overhaul.

Editor's Note: Not all readers are full of expectations for Windows 7. Many Windows XP fans don't think Windows 7 is new. Please see "Windows7 wants to say that it is not easy to love you"]

And this is mostly due to my fault. Like most other users, I did not choose to upgrade to Windows Vista. While Windows Vista has a lot of problems, it has a solid security foundation. But unfortunately the advances in Windows Vista have been overshadowed by its overly aggressive security measures and cumbersome menus.

And Windows 7 removes the shortcomings of Windows Vista, providing users with a new experience full of fun. Windows 7 has deeply attracted me in many places, and these are not available in Windows XP.

Windows 7 Wallpapers

What makes the difference is that Windows 7's brand new wallpaper provides a good example of how Windows 7 combines usability and fun. Together. If Windows Vista is a heavily armed cold-blooded warrior, then Windows 7 gives the cold-blooded soldier a healthy personality that makes it more accessible to the public. Windows 7's wallpaper library contains masterpieces from artists around the world: psychedelic landscapes, fantastic online community characters, and candy-colored animated art. Interested readers can refer to 51CTO.com's article "Windows7, a new interface, I will sneak a sneak peek."

By combining these artistic ideas with the security of Windows Vista, Windows 7 can help users feel that their computers are both secure and creative, and this is what Apple Computer has always thought Hao's characteristics. Even if you don't like the wallpaper built into Windows 7, you have to admire the Windows 7 creative team's subversive tradition of wallpaper selection. Most of these built-in wallpapers don't appear in traditional offices.

Windows 7 minimum hardware requirements

Windows Vista is too bloated to make it impossible to run on netbooks, which is the only bright spot in the current sluggish PC industry. In contrast, Windows 7 can run successfully on most netbooks and does not perform well on older computers. In order to test my new book "Windows 7 Getting Started Manual", I installed Windows 7 on a Pentium III computer with only 16MB of video memory. To my surprise, Windows 7 not only succeeded on this Pentium III computer, but also successfully connected to the Windows Update website to download some of the most recent drivers. Of course, this old Gateway's Pentium 3 computer can not only run some simple games, but also successfully handle some daily applications such as sending and receiving emails and browsing the Internet. Whether it's on an antique computer or a modern netbook, the streamlined Windows 7 works great.

Windows 7 Adjustable User Account Control

Perhaps the most popular change for Windows 7 is that it weakens Windows Vista's overly strict user account control. But if you feel unsafe about it when you use it, Windows 7 allows users to choose the appropriate user account control. This may excite the paranoids who value system security. Compared to Windows Vista's overly strict security controls, users can choose their security level to be significantly more comfortable.

Windows 7 shortcuts

Once you learn to use some shortcuts, you will become addicted, and Windows 7 shortcuts are more excellent than previous versions of Windows. For example, having two windows side by side on a narrow desktop requires a lot of mouse manipulation in Windows XP. In Windows 7, you only need to click on the first window and then press the Win+Right button to slide the window to the right edge of the desktop. Then press the Win+Left key on the second window to arrange the two windows side by side.

Windows 7 also includes some new and creative shortcuts, which means that the Windows 7 development team pays more attention to some details than the system overhaul.

The Jumplist function of the Windows 7 taskbar

Windows 7 optimizes the taskbar through Jumplist (access to commonly used projects or tasks via pop-up menus). Want to hurry to find your favorite website address? Right click on the browser icon in the taskbar and click on the name of the website you want to visit from the "Frequent" pop-up menu. The browser will open it for you.

Can't remember the location of the folder you opened yesterday? Right click on the browser icon and select the name of the folder from the Jumplist list and you will be able to access it. By adding the Jumplist feature, Windows 7 increases user satisfaction with system speed. And that's what users didn't feel in Windows Vista.

Library Features

After a user stores a large amount of digital information, searching for one of them becomes a tricky challenge. The Windows 7 Library feature solves the problem of organizing information by having a library display the contents of multiple folders. For example, store your music files in a public music folder that will automatically appear in the music library of each account.

Library function is a breakthrough in the traditional, users need to master it and also need a lot of use. But once you master it, it will help you make better use of the information stored on your computer, rather than spending a lot of time looking for information.

Family Groups

In Windows 7, Microsoft finally realized that in the home network system, people do not need the same level of security when people use the Internet. The family group feature allows everyone to enter a simple password for their network computer. And these people will be part of the family group, and every computer in the network can share all the music, pictures and videos stored on other computers. Of course, everyone can choose not to share their multimedia files. However, many people like to use this simple method to share photos and videos of their holidays.

Windows 7 is a huge leap from Microsoft Windows Vista. And its comprehensive function is enough to make it last forever. But Windows 7 is certainly not perfect.

As expected, Windows 7 often meets some of Microsoft's needs rather than the user's own needs. For example, Windows 7 does not bundle e-mail programs, so Microsoft takes its Windows Live Mail program as an alternative.

But when you want to download the Windows Live Mail program, the installer will prompt you to install the full Windows Live program components. The installer then forces your browser home page to be changed to the Microsoft MSN home page and changes your search engine to Microsoft’s Live Search. After

, the program will repeatedly prompt you to sign up for a Windows Live email address, no matter how many other email addresses you have previously registered.

If you upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7, regardless of how long you have used Firefox, Microsoft will force you to convert your default browser to Internet Explorer 8. And a bunch of Microsoft product links are pre-populated in the Internet Explorer favorites.

In short, Microsoft wants to use their enviable monopoly position (at least 90% of the world's computers have installed Microsoft products) to extract more cash. Of course, from a business perspective, making money is not a mistake. But hope that one day, Microsoft will become a little less annoying.
