Discover New World Windows7 new feature CD can be used as a USB flash drive. I originally intended to save the "Struggle" after reading, I did not want to use Win7 less than a week. Surprise discovery!

In Windows 7, you can format the empty disc into "UDF system format", which is equivalent to U disk can be read and written multiple times, editing. Nowadays, the cheaper DVDs are more than one piece, which is equivalent to a 4G U disk that we can spend less than two dollars. Haha. . .

The following is my operation record:

★1 Insert an empty DVD disc, the system will not close the auto play function will pop up a prompt box (Figure 1), close it.

★2 Double-click the CD-ROM icon on the computer, the “How do you use this CD?” prompt box will pop up, there are two choices (Figure 2)

< Br>

☆A: Similar to a USB flash drive (Save and edit files on each deleted disk at any time. The disk will work on a computer running Windows XP or higher) [Real-time file system]

☆B: With CD/DVD player (groups of burned files will not be edited or deleted after burning separate files, the disk will work on most computers) [Mastered]

★3Select A "similar to USB flash drive" next step, the system will automatically perform formatting, get the following results (Figure 3)

★4 This is I burned the disc, in its properties you can see the disc's used space 3.3G, the available space is 1.07G

★5 but the storage process is not fast, 4.68M/S, the speed is slowly increasing from small (I use the cottage DVD disc) screenshots as follows

☆ But the large file writing speed can also reach 5.36M/S

☆ Now you can write to you Data, files, multiple edits deleted.

★ Finally, it must be! ! ! Click the CD-ROM icon to safely eject the CD. The system will prompt: "This dialog is closed. After the CD is closed, the CD can be used on other computers." [Note: This dialog will only appear for the first time]

◆ PS: For DVD discs that have been burned in the normal way, if there is still some space to use at the end, such a disc can also use this method, but the available space is only the size of the space at the end of the recording. In addition, the original data will be formatted and that part of the space is not available.

☆ Steps: Right click on the CD-ROM icon → Format (others can be defaulted) → Next, then wait a little bit of time. Related screenshots are as follows:

★6 There are some discs with write protection such as system installation disk, not suitable for this method: as follows (in addition, I only have DVD on hand, so CD still asks friends We measured ourselves)
