Resolve issues with Windows 7 blue screen due to security updates

Recently, there are quite a few Windows 7 beta users who reported that after installing the latest update of Windows Update, they encountered a blue screen of death (BSOD) at startup, and the error message indicated that the kl1.sys file is missing (a failure on kl1.sys ).

According to the information collected, this problem is most likely caused by a conflict with Kaspersky Anti-Virus components. There is currently a simple solution to cancel Kaspersky startup with the system.

The steps are as follows:

After booting, press F8 to enter the safe mode menu. It is recommended to try the security mode with network support first. If you can't try the network-free security mode again.

When you have successfully entered safe mode, click on the Start menu, select "Run", enter msconfig to open the system configuration window.

Switch to the fourth "Startup" tab and remove the checkbox from Kaspersky related content in the "Startup Project".

Reset the system after confirming. After entering the system normally, you can manually run the Kaspersky main program and set it to not start with the system.

If you want to use Kaspersky properly under Windows 7, you can use Kaspersky's technology preview for Windows 7.
