How to disable a device

in Device Manager in Windows 8 1. Press and hold the “Windows Logo” button and the “X” button on the keyboard at the same time in the system, and open the “Device Manager” in the system tool shortcut entry. (shown below)

2. Click on the device class you want to disable and expand to see which devices you want to disable. Right click on the device name and select “Disable” (as shown below)

3. After the disabling, a confirmation dialog pops up. Point “Yes; (as shown below)

4. After confirming the disable, the disabled device icon will have a small black arrow indicating that it is disabled. (as shown below)
