Win8 how to set up storage space

Win8 set up storage space as follows:

new features will use a physical storage facility to form a data pool. This data pool will be created using SATA, USB and SAS drives and will be able to use additional hardware extensions. These virtual hard disks, called "space", can expand 4TB of storage to 10TB. These storage spaces also provide an elastic layer to solve the problem of different physical media errors. Microsoft said in an official statement that users can increase the capacity in the storage pool as needed with fewer settings.
This "storage space" can be increased as users copy more files and approach the limits of the available physical guest in the storage pool. Microsoft also explained the steps required to add a new hard drive. Once the user successfully creates the storage space, it can be used just like the operator normally uses the hard disk. Another benefit of this feature is that once the physical hard disk fails, this "storage pool> can automatically generate a copy of the data in the affected place.
Operating steps:
1, open the computer, computer - open the control panel.

2. View mode is set to “large icon”.

3, Create a new pool and storage space, create a storage pool.

4. Select mobile hard disk, Create pool, create storage pool. Note that if there is important data on the mobile hard disk, you need to back it up yourself, otherwise it will not be created after creation.

5, the creation process.

6. Create storage space, select the elastic mechanism and other options. As part of the creation space, users can assign a drive letter and take formatting.

6.1 The first elastic mechanism: a simple layout to store a copy of the data does not protect you from the drive failure, this elastic type requires at least one drive.

6.2 The second elastic mechanism: The two-way mirror layout stores the copied data, protecting the failure from one drive. This elastic type requires at least two drives.

6.3 The third elastic mechanism: The three-mirror layout stores the copied data. This system can tolerate the failure of two physical disks. This elastic type requires at least three drives.

6.4 The last one is the extra check space, click “Create a storage space, and then select Parity in the layout options: Parity stores your data layout And parity, which allows a physical disk to fail. This layout requires at least three drives.
