Add Chinese Input Keyboard
In Windows 8.1, Microsoft Pinyin input method is enabled by default in the Simplified Chinese version of Windows. But if you want, you can add a Chinese input keyboard by following the steps below.
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click “Set”. (If using the mouse, point to the top right or bottom right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down or up, then click “Set”.)
In the lower right corner of the screen, tap or click “Change Computer Set & rdquo; to open the computer settings of the modern user interface.
In the list options under Computer Settings, tap or click “Time & Language", and then tap or click "Regional & Language".
Select ”add language“

Modify input mode
Windows 8.1 Simplified Chinese input method supports Chinese and English input mode switching.
When you are using the touch screen keyboard, you can directly switch between Chinese and English by clicking the "中/英“ toggle button on the touch screen keyboard.
Simplified Chinese and Microsoft Pinyin input method are added. You can continue to click the ”options add five-stroke input method.
When you use the mouse or keyboard, the Chinese input method will have a floating window next to the cursor to indicate the current Chinese and English input mode. You can switch by clicking with the left mouse button.
Right click on this window to select full-width or half-width character input.
If you use a physical keyboard, you can also switch between Chinese and English modes by using the SHIFT key (can be changed to CTRL in the settings) or CTRL+Spacebar, and use the SHIFT+Spacebar to switch the full-width mode.
Switch input method
You can switch the input method in the following ways.
Press the Windows key + space bar to switch between input methods.
Under the desktop user interface, click the input method icon and select the input method from the input method list.
When using the touch keyboard, press the input method selection button and select the input method.
Open the touch keyboard
Under the modern user interface, the touch keyboard will open automatically under the text editing interface. In the desktop user interface, you can call up the touch keyboard in the following ways.
Use the right mouse button to click on the taskbar, or press and hold directly in the taskbar area on the touch screen to display the taskbar menu.

Open the taskbar menu
Select “Toolbar”, then select “Touch Keyboard”, the touch keyboard icon will appear in the taskbar.
Under the text editing interface, click the mouse or tap the icon in the task bar on the touch screen to open the touch keyboard.
Setting different input methods for different application windows
By default, Windows 8.1 will maintain the same input method in different application windows. If you need to use different input methods in different application windows, you can change the settings as described below.
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click “Set”. (If using the mouse, point to the top right or bottom right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down or up, then click “Set”.)
Click ”Control Panel”
in the Control Panel Select "Clock, Language & Region"-> ”Language<;>”Advanced Settings“
Select “under the input method “bar"allow me for each application window Set different input methods “.
