Warning
· In order to use Windows 8.1 Preview, you must be logged in to your computer with a Microsoft account. The option to create a local account will be available in the final release of Windows 8.1.
The following additional requirements are required to use certain features:
· For 64-bit installations of Windows 8.1 Preview, your CPU must also support CMPXCHG16b, PrefetchW, and LAHF/SAHF.
· To use touch, you need a multi-touch tablet or monitor.
· To access the Windows Store and download and run apps, you need a valid Internet connection, at least 1024 x 768 screen resolution, and a Microsoft account.
· Internet access (may generate ISP fees).
Windows will check your system for compliance before you update to ensure your system supports Windows 8.1 Preview.
