Windows 2008 operating system as Microsoft's next-generation server operating system, how about security performance?
(1) Win2008 IE Security
Windows Server 2008 IE7 has "Enhanced Security Configuration" The relevant website must be opened by a user's manual review. This is a lot safer than Windows Vista, but it does cause a lot of trouble for desktop users if it is not a server.
(2) UAC
The Windows Server 2008 operating system and Windows Vista are similarly equipped with UAC User Account Control user account control, which can effectively reduce the risk of the server, but the Win2008 system administrator account is applied through the Vista zone. Not subject to the same restrictions as Vista.
(3) What anti-virus software firewall should be used
Windows Server 2008 as the server version of the operating system is very different from the desktop operating system in using the anti-virus software firewall. The firewall recommends BlackICE black ice firewall and anti-virus software. Kaspersky 7.0 Server Edition or Symantec Server Anti-Virus can be installed. Windows Server 2008 also comes with Windows Firewall, but it does not protect against hackers unless you are not using a server but a personal computer.
