Microsoft Windows 8 Developer Edition is available for download

  

Microsoft demonstrated many of the features of Windows 8 at the BUILD conference, many of which we have seen in previous summaries. Even more exciting is that Microsoft has launched the download of the Windows Developer version, which is a pre-beta version for displaying features, not a stable version, some features have been blocked, so we can't See a complete experience like in a conference. It may be that in Windows 8 Beta, Microsoft will open all the features to everyone.

Note:

- Windows 8 developer preview version can not be uninstalled

- upgrade install Windows 8 developer preview version based on Windows Vista /7 on (not included! Development tools), you can keep account information, files and settings, Windows XP can only retain account information and files, the settings will be lost.

- The Windows 8 Developer Preview with development tools can only be installed freshly and cannot be upgraded based on Windows XP/Vista/7.

Microsoft said, Windows 8 developer preview version can run with Windows Vista and Windows 7 with the same hardware, system requirements are as follows:

1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86 ) /64-bit (x64) processor;

1GB RAM (32-bit) /2GB RAM (64-bit)

16GB hard disk space (32-bit) /20GB hard disk space (64-bit)

DirectX 9 graphics devices that support WDDM 1.0 or higher drivers;

Multi-touch screen support is required for touch input.

Microsoft announced the demonstration but did not appear in the Windows 8 developer preview version of the function BUILD conference:

& mdash; Metro style of Windows Live applications;

& mdash; some of the new user interface.
