Windows8 system picture password function new demonstration

December 17th news Microsoft local time on Friday in the Windows8 official blog to explain and demonstrate Win8 picture password function. Previously, after the release of the Windows 8 Developer Preview in mid-September, the

Picture Password feature allowed Windows 8 users to select a picture and adopt a circle, line and dot mode to set the password. This new authentication system, tablet and touch screen users will be easier to use; in February 2008 Microsoft applied for the patent. This function is mainly used to identify the pictures by dividing them.

Image passwords, just another alternative to ordinary text passwords, are not replaced. As for the security of Windows 8 accounts, Microsoft has also spent a lot of thoughts; because of the various combinations of picture passwords, it is difficult for outsiders to guess, and users can unlock them with simple gestures.

Microsoft believes that image passwords are sufficiently secure, which is especially beneficial for business users; Microsoft also provides administrators with the option of whether to enable image passwords, which is more flexible. Of course, as a home user, the choice is naturally in your own hands.
